Some of
these products are used to be informative such as the leaflet of the restaurant
that is used to make it easier for people to know what is served at that
restaurant so that if they decided to go there they would have an idea on what
they would want. This also helps people find out if there are any certain
dishes that they were looking for or would want to try. E-newspapers are also
informative with the range of news articles they have of the many different
events around the world. The travel flyer is also informative with the list of
events/activities that are available to the customers and the price listed on
the flyer.
There are
also products that are mainly used for entertainment such as the Facebook
example for interactive media. This example gives consumers the ability to view
posts, comment, like and more. E-books are also a source of entertainment with
the countless books that people can read making them a very useful tool for
learning as well. Certain magazines can have a sense of pleasure/entertainment
as well as being informative. Most entertaining published products are
generally used for leisure/relaxing.
Informative
published products give slight information on topics while educational products
will go into detail and could have many different sections for a topic. While
being used for entertainment and E-book can also be used for educational
purposes to help people who are studying in school, college or even those who
want to learn more after that.
While there
is some informative information on posters. The main aim of them is to
promote/market products or services. The assassins creed movie poster is
informative with listing some of the characters and a date of when the movie
will be released. However some of the names of the actors could also attract
attention to the movie bringing in more customers. The image is the main focus
for marketing. This is the same with the star wars poster except it has no
image and actor names it only has text.
There can be more than one purpose for certain products alongside
the main purpose. This is what help people in their everyday lives or even help
companies expand.
The
purpose of the restaurant leaflet is to inform people about some of the dishes
they serve and also persuade them to come to the restaurant to increase the
amount of customers they have. The travel flyer does the same with the type of writing
it has being used to persuade and also be a bit informative.
The
bold writing on the e-magazine example is used to catch the viewer’s attention
and make them think straight away with what its context. This encourages
readers to continue through the e-magazine to see what it has to say.
