Rules Following the BCAP Code (Improved)
The rules
state me to use a logo, music, slogan and more to quickly show the audience the
message of the advertisement. My group’s campaign video will include music, a
slogan and logos to show our message. (Rule 2.2 BCAP Code)
We would
like our campaign video to be on television. For this to happen we must follow
through with the rules. We will not refer to ourselves. We will not present any
news or current affairs on television. Our video is about bullying, its effects
and how to deal with it. (Rule 2.4 BCAP Code)
We will not
make our campaign video mislead our consumers and we will not hide anything
that shows the meaning/ message of the video. We will do this by showing a
clear view of what the campaign is about and its purpose. We will have
statistics in the video. (Rule 3.1 & 3.2 BCAP Code)
We will make
sure to list everyone involved with the production of the campaign video. We
will she who we are representing. (Rule 3.6 BCAP Code)
We prove any
fact that we make with evidence to show that we have done are research and can
be trusted to promote our charity and video. (Rule 3.7 BCAP Code)
We will not
blow any claims we make out of proportion or exaggerate on them. All claims we
make will be true and have real evidence behind them. Our message will be clear
and we will not use subliminal messaging. (Rule 3.8 BCAP Code)
We will not
exaggerate what the charity we are trying to promote can do. We will keep it
realistic and not exaggerate what outcome people could get from the service in
the video. (Rule 3.11 BCAP Code)
We will not
make any claims that are lives, education or any jobs we may have are in danger
if consumers don’t watch the video or ask the charity for help if they are
experiencing bullying. We will also not mislead our viewers to think that they
would be put in danger if they do not contact Childline. (Rule 3.15 BCAP Code)
Our video
will only include mild violence and name calling. There will be no racist
language or any comments about disabilities and other serious matters. The
violence that will be shown in our video will be mild such as shoving or
barging. (Rule 4.1 BCAP Code)
The violence
we show is not meant to be exciting it is to show how brutal and wrong it is
and how we use it in the video to prove that point. We will not encourage our
consumers to take up violence and end up getting hurt. (Rule 4.4 BCAP Code)
We will make
sure not to include anything to violent or graphic in our video so that we do
not have to censor it for our target audience or have to change our audience. (Rule
5.1 BCAP Code)
We will make
sure not to encourage violence and show why that is in our video with slogans
and effects that make the audience feel the emotion of the story. (Rule 5.3
BCAP Code)
You have clearly gone through a lot of effort to cover these facts and it shows, good work. I will say that some rules might not apply to your production and thus might not need to be covered, and your grammar needs a little work. Overall - good job! Corey.
ReplyDeletei have added more to some of the rules, taken out a few rules and added rules 5.1 and 5.3
