• lighting set up 2 is used for portraits and fashion 

nikon D7 100 

• put camera on m on the top left dial
• manual control: controls shutter speed, f-stops and aperture
• WB: White Balance is used to determine lighting situation
• WB needs to be set to flash icon 
• A: Auto focus 
• M: Manual focus 
• Auto focus has a beep when focused and a light on the point

Equipment

• Lighting umbrella
• Light reflector (twist and fold to close) 
• Transmitter 
• backdrop

Switch room lights off when shooting. 

Do not take flash lights off yourself. 

3 point lighting 

• Has a dial that goes from 1 to 6 
• Number 1 is the lowest flash and number 6 is the highest flash 
• Set each light to 3 
• Transmitter connects and controls the flash when taking a photograph 

Drop sand bags on stands for flash lights when they are at a certain height for counter weight.

Soft boxes on the light stands spread the flash and light created. 

Always have the model or object stand 5 to 6 feet form the backdrop.

• key light /main light: this is the light you start off with.
• Fill light: this gets rid of contrast and shadow
• Hair line light: this is a light used at the back mainly point at the to of model or object 

Reflector bounces the light do not stand in front of the light while holding it for it will not do anything.

Introduction to Digital Photography

           Introduction into photography 

Photography helps me see the beauty of locations that I cannot see with my own eyes. I would like to take shots of either sport, cars or locations with beauty and meaning

I like the lighting on this picture and how it is shown as calm and peaceful location with a sense of freedom 

This image has a calm atmosphere. The lighting has an effect that shows that the day is coming to an end.   

This image shows the beauty of the car while focusing on its front the lighting of the location and the shot show how the car was a new model and well taken care of.

I like the nice peaceful atmosphere this image gives. The lighting makes the image look very exotic/ tropical
